Challenge those Autumn colours!

Summer is over and Autumn is here. As much as I love summer I have to admit there is one thing I love about autumn - it's autumn's colours! All trees getting dark green, brown, orange, yellow, reddish. Soo warm and pretty.....

Since I am soo passionate about makeup I am always inspired with different looks, colours mixing and creativity.

I have seen many amazing makeup looks on different blogs and really wanted to participate in makeup challenge but it is hard to find one. There are plenty nail design challenges but not much for makeup.........so being inspired by autumn.....I thought I will start makeup challenge! I am soo looking forward to create different looks!

Since it's a first challenge ever for me; I thought I will start for something easy and not too complicated. Instead of choosing different categories or inspiration to create a look (I am not asking to create a autumn look); I thought I will choose simply Autumn Colours as a theme!

It is very easy and fun challenge....every week I will have ONE colour to challenge and create 3 different looks (it is important not to mix colours except with black and white if you need them as they are essential for makeup looks).

Looks to create are very simple....day look, evening look and creative/inspired look (here I want to go crazy, something creative, inspired by anything I can think of, look mainly for spacial occasions using different techniques - feeling free to add anything to it).

How that will work? - I will create those looks through whole month of October; weekly - I will post them at the end of every week (Sundays) throughout October for your judgement.

What colours I will challenge?
  • Week 1 (1st - 7th October) - Brown
  • Week 2 - (8th - 14th) - Green
  • Week 3 (15th - 21st) - Orange
  • Week 4 (22nd - 28th) - Red
  • Week 5 (29th - 2nd Nov) - Yellow
Exceptions: Black and White - those can be used all the time too

Sooo what are the rules:
  • - every week challenge one colour from list above and create 3 different looks - day look, evening look and creative/inspired

  • - you can use only colour that you are challenging (exceptions for black and white), do not mix any other colours unless its a different tone

  • - post your looks at the end of every week on Sunday so we can comment on what we have created :)

  • - let us know what products you have used by posting you blog link with you looks in comments for this posts
  • - have fun!

Who's in? Let's challenge those colours!!!!!!!!

Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara - review

I think I should call myself a night blogger.....instead of getting my beauty sleep I am here and can't wait to share with this new discovery.

Sooo as you might noticed on my blog I went to Smashbox Event that was hosted in London (check it out here) and we have been given few freebie and products which I couldn't wait to try out.

I got little Full Exposure Mascara and was looking forward to try it out. I never get too excited about mascaras as they never work  for me they way I would like them to. First of all my eyelashes are thin.....I can never get the thickness I want, but they are quite long....yay....well not really - they are soo bright at the end that you can barley see them.

Here we go.....when I opened Full Exposure Mascara I was surprised as the size of brush was quite huge and long comparing to the one I normally use....I thought 'Oh great that will be a challenge' but actually it wasn't.....I have never ever applied mascara that quickly, no lumps, no stickiness ermmm was actually perfect.
It made my lashes look soo long! It didn't make them thicker but I could finally see how long my lashes are.
I have to say I really like this brush a lot and I think I might have found my fav mascara so far :)

                                                                      Look at this brush!

                                                                Before and after :)

Orange Blossom......

My friend made a surprise for me and she bought me this amazing shower gel from Sephora - Orange Blossom.

It smells amazing, I could smell a little bit of it's essence even before I unwrapped packing paper, bath with it was amazing - orange blossom definitely help you relax. If you have a chance to try one of those lovely shower gels from Sephora - definitely try this one! You will love it :)

Mint and raspberry - noms hand cream

I had to say this but I am in love with this hand cream.......its Oriflame - Nature Secrets Hand Cream.....it says that it is energising hand cream and omg it sooo is!

Well the fact that it has really nice and thick consistence and hydrates your hands immediately that is one great part.....but the smell is soooo yummmyy....MINT AND RASPBERRY....

I know some will say it's a weird combination but it reminds me some kind of chewing gum from childhood and it's soo nice I can't stop smelling it (probably went crazy here) It's noms noms hand cream :)

And it really hydrates my hands! Can't get over it :)

London Fashion Weekend and Smashbox Event

Monday Blues…..oh how much I hate Mondays especially when it’s raining…..being at work isn’t fun and I’d prefer to be home all wrap up J

I just wanted to share with you with few things I did over the weekend!

On Friday I went to LONDON FASHION WEEKEND and I have to say I was gutted that I have bought tickets only for shopping.  Since I really wanted to attend Smashbox free event in London I thought we will go to London Fashion Weekend, shop and run to other event. I wish we could see catwalk now……whole shopping experience wasn’t that great in my opinion but only because all clothes and brands were simply not my style and I couldn’t find anything exciting for myself, which is shame. Atmosphere was great and I only could be jealous for all those who actually been working for this event – ahhhh if I could go backstage…………

I got nice bag with few things to try our and I will definitely review them soon J

Soo after checking out al shops we run to The Music Room in Mayfair to check out Smashbox event and I absolutely loved it. We got there – there was a queue and I knew they can let in only 250 in one go so I was excited when queue started to move. Everyone was lovely and looked after us while we were waiting; giving us samples and finally we got in. I was soo surprised that as soon as we got in we have been given a bag with lots of products! We also received Smashbox Hallo Highlighting Wand (I will definitely review this product as it looks amazing).

Inside there were Djs playing music, we were given drinks – coconut water (whoever likes it hehe J J, there were lots of things going on…..

-          Stand with cosmetics on the side, where you can try out anything you want and introduce yourself with the brand –if you had question – there were lots of make-up artists around to help and answer them

-          Makeover areas – few areas for makeover where MUAs were helping us to look even more gorgeous, there was a long queue to have one but if you had no plans for evening why not then?

-          Now this is my fav part – there were two areas where two lovely ladies were doing awesome creations with your hair! All those plaits, I absolutely loved it. It looked soo pretty that I have plaited my hair too……I think it’s a lovely style for winter! What you think?

-          There was a photographer too taking lots of individual pictures and photo boxes! They are my favourites one……making silly faces? Yes that would be me J

In total it was really good and I am soo happy I could finally play with Smashbox cosmetics as I have never had a chance before. This is what we got from lovely Smashbox team and I can’t wait to try them on and let you know what I think J

We all need those crazy colour in our life...

It’s getting colder and darker here in London every day ehhhh winter is on its way. Let’s enjoy sun while it’s here.

It must be this cold evening yesterday that put me in this mood that I have decided to try out some makeup, mixed some cold colours…..try something different and a bit creative…..so I did a bit of pink and purple make up.
I must admit they are not my colour but hey ho I’m here to try and create things on my eye lids…..not really going out with it right?
Soo this is what I did…..I used very bright pink on whole eye lid and added a bit of dark purple in my eye crease and blended it with blending brush. This is how it look at start:

This is how it came out at the end:

Once I finished I thought I will add few darker lines in the corner and leave it without blending……idea for Halloween party? :)

Liebster Awards

Hello all lovely bloggers, Happy Monday! (yes, sun is still shining so it’s a happy day so far).
I’ve been nicely surprised when I have received and email form fellow blogger In-The-Red-Nails http://intherednails.blogspot.co.uk nominating me for Liebster Award – thank you soo much, made my day!
The Liebster award is for bloggers who have fewer than 200 followers and recognizes them for their hard work – which made me feel very happy as I only have started my blog and trying to put it out there and share with others. I’m really chuffed by it!

So what are the rules:
Here’s how it works:
·         The recipient must post 11 fun fact about themselves.
·         The recipient must answer 11 questions created by the award giver.
·         The recipient must give the award to 11 new bloggers with less than 200 followers and post 11 questions for them to answer.
·         These 11 bloggers must be told they have been given the award.
·         They will in turn pass the award to 11 new bloggers of their choice (no tagging back the award giver.)
